I hope everyone in the U.S. is having a good Memorial Day weekend! It has been sunny and hot here in Alabama. We are going to the botanical gardens today, and hopefully the daylilies are in bloom, and then I am going to make an apple upside down cake for dessert tonight. Yum!
Last week I worked on Hillside Travelers while house/pet sitting for my parents (they were on their cruise). I thought the horses in the meadow looked adorable! I am glad I finished up the bottom banner. All of that DMC 3371 was getting boring. First up, a close-up of the cute little horses:
All of my work so far:
The end is getting near : ) I plan to finish this one off sometime in June.
Lastly, a picture of Moyland Castle with all the outlining and Jessica flowers finished in the top garden:
Thanks for stopping by!

IHSW May
I hope everyone had a great weekend!
For IHSW, I worked on part 2 of Moyland Castle. I did not quite finish it (in part because I finished reading Deadlocked by Charlaine Harris). I still have to fill in the Jessica flowers (all the small open squares) and do some outlining. I loved the Algerian eyelets, which were stitched with Tulip Festival by Gloriana. It is such a pretty mix of colors :) This half-circle garden is repeated on all four sides, so I still have a lot left to do for this part.
I look forward to seeing everyone's stitching progress! Have a great week :)

May finish
I had a hectic week last week and didn't get to stitch, but today, I finished May by Little House Needleworks!
I love this month series from Little House Needleworks, and I started buying the month series from Country Cottage Needleworks. Both of the series are so cute! And apparently I have a thing for month patterns :)
This weekend is IHSW! I will be stitching on part two of Moyland Castle. I look forward to seeing everyone's progress this weekend :)

Japanese Garden
I hope everyone had a great weekend! I went shopping with my Mom yesterday and helped her spend a lot of money on new clothes and shoes for her upcoming cruise. I was good and did not buy anything : ) but that is also because I just per-ordered Diablo 3. Lol.
Here is my progress update on Japanese Garden. I finished the bottom fall tree and the bottom right corner ornament. It's coming along nicely.
This weekend I also made a bag to carry Mandy's (our puppy) stuff (toys and lots of treats!) in when we travel. We will be in Chicago this week for my sister-in-law's Law School graduation, so I finished the bag just in time. The bag is sitting on my just-vacuumed couch. Mandy is shedding quite a bit. Grr...now I am finding dog-hair on my cross-stitch projects. At least it is short and very fine hair.
Have a great week!
